KVKK Information Notice and Privacy Policy

At merrèz, we care about the security of your personal data. This notice has been prepared by MERREZ TEKSTİL İTHALAT İHRACAT LİMİTED ŞİRKETİ ("merrèz", the "Company") to explain how personal data collected through the website and mobile channels operated by the Company is processed in accordance with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK") and related legislation.

1. Personal Data We Process

The following categories of data may be processed when you use our services:

• Identity and contact details: first name, last name, e-mail, phone, delivery/billing address.
• Customer transaction details: order history, cart, favourites, return/exchange requests, call/message records.
• Payment details: payment method and order amount. Your card details are not stored by the Company; payments are processed through licensed payment institutions/banks.
• Transaction security and digital trace data: IP address, session/cookie data, device and browser information, site usage data.
• Marketing permissions: your electronic communication (e-mail/SMS/call) preferences.

2. Purposes of Processing Your Personal Data

• Creating, preparing, shipping and delivering your orders,
• Managing membership processes and your account, and providing customer service support,
• Handling return, exchange and cancellation processes,
• Fulfilling legal obligations (invoicing, accounting, tax, etc.),
• Ensuring site security and preventing fraud,
• Informing you about campaigns, discounts and newsletters, where you have given your explicit consent.

3. Legal Grounds for Processing Your Personal Data

Pursuant to Article 5 of the KVKK, your personal data is processed on the legal grounds that the processing is directly related to the establishment or performance of a contract, is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation, is necessary for the establishment, exercise or protection of a right, or is based on legitimate interest; commercial electronic communications are sent on the basis of your explicit consent.

4. Transfer of Your Personal Data

Strictly limited to the purposes above, your data may be transferred to cargo and logistics companies, payment institutions and banks, e-mail and SMS delivery service providers, our accounting service providers, IT and hosting service providers, and authorised public institutions and bodies, in accordance with applicable legislation and Articles 8-9 of the KVKK. Your data is not sold to third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Retention Period

Your personal data is retained for the period required by the processing purpose and for the limitation/ retention periods prescribed by the relevant legislation (e.g. statutory periods for commercial and financial records); at the end of this period it is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.

6. Your Rights under the KVKK (Article 11)

As a data subject, by applying to the Company you have the right to:

• Learn whether your personal data is processed and, if so, request information regarding such processing,
• Learn the purpose of the processing and whether your data is used in accordance with that purpose,
• Know the third parties to whom your data is transferred, within Turkey or abroad,
• Request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data, and request its deletion or destruction under Article 7 of the KVKK,
• Request that these operations be notified to the third parties to whom your data has been transferred,
• Object to a result arising to your detriment from analysis performed exclusively by automated systems,
• Claim compensation for damages incurred as a result of unlawful processing.

You may submit your requests to info@merrez.com; your application will be concluded within 30 days at the latest.

7. Data Security

merrèz implements reasonable administrative and technical measures (encrypted connections, access authorisation, up-to-date infrastructure, etc.) to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss and misuse.
